This uses the coronet section of the "zoo" antler used in no. 002 together with a piece of burr elm for the "shoe". The "lacing" is inlaid epoxy putty, not paint! (so it won't wear off).

Very long semi-stripped ash shank (one layer buffed off, giving a dark mottled finish).

A very robust stick and a real "one-off". I would love to see it used as a dancing-master's staff, but I could add some weight to make a wading pole, or it could be cut down to make a sturdy "leaning" stick.
