020 - Red deer antler thumbstick head on a very long partially-stripped ash
shank.
The antler head is unusual in having three tines rather than two. The thumb
fits nicely into a natural channel between the tines. I've filled the antler's
surface texture with brass-loaded epoxy resin, stripped the top layer of bark
from the shank and partially stripped the underbark, producing a dappled effect.
A light but very strong thumbstick with a very comfortable grip, suitable for
the serious walker. Unusual, but attractive and very practical.
