033 - A buffalo horn thumbstick made to the requirements of a lady client.

We settled on making the head from a solid piece of smoky charcoal grey horn, streaked with white, brown and lighter shades of grey. The head is mounted to the slender blackthorn shank via a section of beechwood set between ram's horn spacers. I embellished the beechwood mount with a gilt owl set in clear embedding resin, flanked by oak leaves done in green and gold epoxy resin.
