044 - A full-sized nose-out crook. Black buffalo horn head and spacer on a sturdy hazel shank. This is my first attempt at making a full crook head in buffalo, done at Nic Murray's stickmaking classes. This was a rough old cheap piece of horn and hence not the easiest material to work with, so I'm very pleased with the result. This marks another milestone in the development of my skills, so I'm hanging onto it! NOT FOR SALE |
