The walnut handle has a lovely swirling grain.

I partially stripped the bark from the ash shank, smoothed it down and darkened the surface chemically. This results in an attractively patterned appearance.

The spacer was built up from layers of coloured epoxy resin.

This is a medium-weight stick with a handle which could accommodate a wide range of hand sizes. The long shank can be cut to suit an equally wide range of height.
