059 - A T-handle walker stick with buffalo horn handle and blackthorn shank, made for a gentleman from Dorset who wanted a good solid stick for support.

The front end sports this pewter roe buck's head...

...while the other end bears the owner's initials, engraved on a cupro-nickel disc embedded in clear resin.

I connected the handle to the shank via an antler spacer to add a bit of contrast. Wavy bands of slate grey run through the black buffalo horn. Difficult to capture in a photo, but very attractive to the eye. There's no way you could take this for black plastic.
