061 - An antler walker stick with stripped sweet chestnut shank. I left the extra tine on because it fits the hand nicely and creates the antler equivalent of a market stick, enabling the user to hang the stick on a peg or hook it over the arm. The capping and spacer are done in black buffalo horn, and a wren farthing is embedded in clear resin on the coronet. |

I applied my usual distinctive technique, filling the surface texture with brass/copper-filled epoxy resin before smoothing down the surface. |

The shank is beautifully smooth. There was no need to stain the chestnut wood as it shows excellent natural coloration and markings. I added narrow bands of brass/copper resin to set off the buffalo horn spacer. |

This is an exceptionally fine antler stick and is very comfortable to hold in either hand. SOLD |
