064 - Another silly "Big Nose" stick, carved from a natural fork of holly.
This holly shank is more substantial than the one I used for #052. It's also much rounder in section.
This will make a good strong, comfortable stick for those country walks.
The overall length is 463/4 inches. It can be shortened, but I would suggest it's best kept fairly long and used as a short staff, gripped in a vertical fist just below the head.
The shank is straighter than #052, but I left a little of the original "wiggle" in it to impart a bit of character.
For the main part, the shank is smooth, but there are a couple of knobbly bits like this.
