081 - A market stick with a sapele/mahogany-type wood handle on a hazel shank.
The spacer between handle and shank is of copper-filled resin between two thin layers of reclaimed white plastic.
The more astute among my regular visitors will have noticed this is a rather small stick and may have concluded that the intended recipient is of the diminutive ursine persuasion.
This is indeed the case. I made the stick in response to a repeat request from Karen of
Little Bears in Stansted, Essex. I fear there may have been an outbreak of walking difficulties among the inmates.I just hope they have more idea of what to do with a stick than this gorilla has...
Overall length 17 inches/43cm.
