088 - A one-piece hazel walking stick This is a simple pistol-grip stick made from a natural fork of hazel.

The handle is very comfortable in use, particularly in the right hand. (When making a handle from scratch, we try to shape it as symmetrically as we can. However, Mother Nature has other ideas and when we use one of her pre-formed handle blanks such as a naturally-shaped piece of wood or stag antler, it almost always has a bias one way or the other).

There's a nice knobbly bit forming the heel of the handle.

I capped the nose of the handle with a piece of box wood.
