C034 - Collector's item: a simple bent hardwood walking stick with knobbly carved nose

A nicely executed classic shape. Dead straight shank, and the curve of the handle is nice and tight despite the stick having some age to it.

The knobbly pattern on the nose is the only decoration on an otherwise plain stick, turning it into something of character. I expect it will quickly become a comfortable old friend to its new owner.

I think the wood is oak, but it can be surprisingly difficult to be certain when a square piece of wood has been made into a round walking stick; some visual clues only show up when the wood is in a rectangular section.

Not a lot more to say about it really, it's just a nice old stick that's been well made and does its job well. No restoration work was needed other than a clean and polish, and a new ferrule.
